The right wood: birch plywood
Our stand wooden displays, our tabletop wooden displays and even our cellars are made using high quality birch plywood from well-managed forests.
We indeed use only wood coming from FSC certified forests. The Forest Stewardship Council is a global, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide.
Choosing wood means choosing a recyclable and environmentally friendly material with confidence that you are helping to ensure our forests are alive for generations to come.
In fact, all our production processes are "genetically green": from the philosophy of the interlocking system to the choice of water-based painting colors.
The birch wood, native to the northeastern region of Europe, has a straw-white color and a fine grain, with a very smooth surface. With excellent physical and mechanical properties, it's extensively used as materials for the production of drawers, stairs, speakers, containers, packaging but also furniture in general.
Plies are made by solid birch veneer, cross-banded, and laminated with exterior grade adhesive.
Only the best wood is used: both face and back veneers allow at max 3-6 small color-matched patches on average and some light mineral streaks. Tight pin knots may be present, but only if less than 25 millimiters wide and not more than 10 per square meter. Inner cores are solid single piece veneers. We do only use panels with a thickness tolerances of +/-5% off of the nominal specification.
For our promotional displays we make use of 6, 9 and 12 millimeters thick panels.
Birch wood is the only "external" component of our proudly Made in Italy wooden displays, which are entirely designed and produced in our headquarters in Ravenna.
The birch plywoods are also ideal for a wide range of customizations: our displays may be fully or partially colored with natural water colors and we can be personalize them with your logo by digital, silk-screen or laser printing.
